For anyone that has ever taken the drive along M-22, hiked Sleeping Bear Dunes, watched the sun set over Lake Michigan, stood waste deep in a flowing trout steam, or simply enjoyed the historic beauty of places like "Fish-Town," Tim's book will seem like a religious experience— delivering full-sensory vignettes of hollowed Michigan spaces with the color and respect they deserve. And along the way you share in two beautiful love stories: Tim's love for his wife and his love of Northern Michigan.I enjoyed this book greatly. The only negative was it made my heart long for the Michigan landscape, and seriously ponder dropping everything and heading north. I came from "Down State" 40 years ago to spend a summer. I tell my friends back home its been a long summer as I never left. Like Tim, I fell in love with Leelanau County and the Greater Grand Traverse Area! Tim & Janet have experienced the majestic natural beauty of the area beyond the five senses to include embracing it all with their Hearts!!!
